It is directed by Liang Xuan and Zhang Chun, written by Liang Xuan, and dubbed by Ji Guanlin, Su Shangqing, Xu Weizhou, Jin Shijie, etc. The film tells the story of a young girl named Chun, who is in charge of the growth of crabapple flowers, who strives to revive the soul of a human boy named Kun in return for her kindness. With the help of Qiu, who was originally a heavenly god, she struggles with her intertwined fate. The film was released in Chinese Mainland on July 8, 2016. On December 3, 2017, "Big Fish and Begonia" won the Best Animated Feature Award at the 15th Budapest International Animation Film Festival.
